A note on Cover Letters Every time you send out a resume, you must include a customized cover letter. To skip this part of the process is to label yourself as lazy, uncaring, and unprofessional. A cover letter has many goals and purposes: 1. To introduce yourself to future employers 2. To ensure that your resume makes it into the right hands 3. To showcase your skills and abilities 4. To present your qualifications and experience 5. To entice an employer to look at your resume 6. To make a good first impression and meet the requirements of the position or role 7. To demonstrate your professionalism and passion for the industry Using generic cover letters are like receiving "To the Homeowner" mail, generally considered spam and gets binned before opening.
